  - Call [[zdoom>SetFont]]:
    - If text message: call SetFont with current font
    - If image message: call SetFont with the chosen image
  - If 3D HudMessage:
    - Project target point onto the screen
    - Compute scale factor from distance if ''AutoDistanceScale'' is enabled
  - Call [[zdoom>SetHudSize]] to scale the message, taking ''VirtualSize'' and ''Scale'' into account
  - Finally call [[zdoom>HudMessage]] or [[zdoom>HudMessageBold]]
